What we collect

• Name — when you reserve a class, join a waitlist, or contact us.
• Email address — for confirmations, reminders, and event updates.
• Phone number — used only to send SMS related to your class registration, reminders, waitlist notifications, cancellations, and schedule changes.
• Optional donation information — processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card or bank details.
• Class reservations & waitlist requests — the classes/events you sign up for and any notes you provide.
• Waiver acceptance — your signed acknowledgment of the class participant waiver.
• Usage data — anonymized page views and event counts to understand how the site is used.

How we use your information

• Manage yoga classes, creative writing workshops, and community events.
• Send confirmation emails for reservations and donations.
• Send SMS reminders, waitlist updates, cancellations, and schedule changes through Twilio (only if you've opted in).
• Process payments and donations through Stripe.
• Improve the site and understand which offerings resonate.

We never sell or share your phone number for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for operational SMS related to your participation and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

SMS messaging

If you opt in during class registration, you'll receive SMS messages about your reservations (confirmations, reminders, waitlist notifications, cancellations, and schedule updates). Third-party services we use

• Stripe — payment and donation processing.
• Twilio — SMS delivery for class-related messages.
• Lovable / Lovable Cloud — website hosting, database, and server functions.
• Google Analytics (if installed) — anonymized traffic and usage analytics.
• Substack — essay newsletter and mailing list.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small, first-party session identifier for analytics consistency across page loads. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media pixels, or cross-site trackers.

Data retention & deletion

We keep reservation, waiver, and contact information only as long as needed to manage the associated event or transaction, or as required by law. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us at hello@prettyinperson.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any SMS to unsubscribe from text messages. Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any newsletter. You can also request account or data deletion by contacting us.
